Dr. Alex Meyerholz grew up on Long Island and is proud to call Northport, NY home, where he resides with his wife, and their two boys. When he's not helping patients on their journey to recovery, he enjoys metal detecting on the beach, traveling, antiquing, and spending quality time with family and friends.​

Dr. Meyerholz earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science, cum laude, from the University at Buffalo in 2013 and his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree with distinction from the New York Institute of Technology in 2016. With nearly a decade of clinical experience, he brings a deep understanding of every phase of the recovery process. He began his career in outpatient care, specializing in orthopedic conditions, sports injuries, neurological cases, and post-operative rehabilitation. Seeking to expand his expertise, he transitioned to a top hospital in New York City, where he treated patients with a wide range of medical conditions, including stroke, pneumonia, post-surgical recovery, and other complex cases. His role encompassed critical care settings such as the intensive care unit (ICU) and emergency room, and also worked with patients undergoing same-day orthopedic surgery.​

Following his tenure in the hospital, Dr. Meyerholz returned to outpatient practice, where he continues to provide comprehensive treatment for post operative cases, musculoskeletal and neurological conditions. As a dedicated member of the community, he believes in forming genuine connections with his patients, taking the time to understand their unique needs and goals. Whether helping individuals regain mobility after a hospital stay, total hip/knee replacement surgery, back surgery, or optimizing athletic performance, he is committed to delivering personalized care that empowers his patients to get back to doing what they love.
